2022-23 Great Northern Conference Boys Basketball Teams Announced; MSHS Has Five Honored

On Friday (3/3/23), boys basketball coaches within the Great Northern Conference (GNC) met to select awards recipients for the 2022-23 season.  Member schools within the GNC include Marquette, Escanaba, Gladstone, Kingsford and Menominee.

MSHS had five of it’s student-athletes honored.  Sophomores Jacob MacPhee and Jaxon Jurmu were selected to the All-GNC First Team with fellow sophomore Kyler Sager receiving All-GNC Special Mention honors.  Senior Easton Clements and junior Jack Quinnell were named All-GNC Honorable Mention.

Below are the All-GNC awards recipients from the 2022-23 boys basketball season:

GNC Player of the Year:

GNC Defensive Player of the Year:

  • Gavin Grondin – Kingsford – Sophomore

GNC Coach of the Year:
