Julia Ott Signs National Letter of Intent With Davenport University Women’s Track & Field For Fall 2023

Julia Ott, MSHS Senior and Track & Field student-athlete has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend and participate in the women’s track & field program at Davenport University.  Ott made her formal commitment to attend Davenport beginning in the Fall 2023 semester during a signing ceremony that took place from the REDspn Studio at MSHS today (December 20).

Family members, friends, coaches and staff were all on-hand to celebrate Ott’s decision on which institution to attend and compete for in track & field at the college level.  Davenport University is an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC).

Julia Ott’s Individual Accomplishments/Accolades:

  • All-State Track & Field (2022, 2021);
  • All-U.P. (2022, 2021);
  • All-Great Northern Conference (2022, 2021);
  • MHSAA U.P. Finals and MSHS Record Holder in the 400 Meter Relay (50.11; set in 2021 – Ava Jones, Maria Millado, Julia Ott, Baux Truckey)
  • 2021 MHSAA U.P. Finals Finishes:  1st Place – High Jump;  1st Place – 400 Meter Relay; 2nd Place – 100 Meter Dash; 2nd Place – 200 Meter Dash
  • 2022 MHSAA U.P. Finals Finishes:  1st Place – 800 Meter Relay; 2nd Place – 100 Meter Dash; 2nd Place – 200 Meter Dash; 4th Place – High Jump

Julia Ott’s Personal Bests:

  • 100 Meter Dash – 12.91
  • 200 Meter Dash – 26.59
  • High Jump – 5’2″

  • 2021 – MHSAA U.P. Division 1 Girls Track & Field Champions
  • 2022 – MHSAA U.P. Division 1 Girls Track & Field Runner-Up
