From MSHS Girls Tennis Head Coach, Karl Thomsen:

  • “Going into today’s meet I wasn’t so much worried about winning or losing, I was interested in our compete level. We know what Negaunee brings to the table; solid, fundamental tennis with a lot of strong athletes. So, how we went out and competed against them was what I was most interested in. I really liked how all four of our singles players played today. Despite the losses, all four girls played some tough tennis and made Negaunee earn their points. On the doubles side of things, the #4 duo of Mylee Muscoe and Eva Sjoholm had a great match, which included a tight first set tiebreaker. The season is just starting to ramp up, so we’ll see what kinds of strides this young team can make in the next couple of weeks.
