Varsity Volleyball Picks Up 3-0 Win At Kingsford

Varsity Volleyball (7-1; 2-0 Great Northern Conference)

Marquette 3, Kingsford 0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-15)

From Coach Crandell-Williams:

“Big, big conference win for us!  Our team came out swinging and didn’t let up for the entire match.  Our players served tough with few errors, which seemed to have Kingsford on their heels.  Seiler Hruska swung hard as usual, and Roxy Nelson had an especially great night for us, putting in some great swings, digs, and with her killer float serve.  We realized afterward that they kept serves away from Seiler the whole night, but our other passers stepped up to the plate and performed flawlessly.  The girls’ teamwork was incredible and their defense was awesome.  It was a great way to end a long week.  We’re thankful to have a few days’ break before we gear up for Escanaba next week.”

Subvarsity Scores:

  • Junior Varsity:  Marquette 1, Kingsford 2
  • Freshman:  Marquette 2, Kingsford 1
