Varsity Volleyball Takes GNC Title With 3-1 Win At Escanaba

Varsity Volleyball (33-5-1; 8-0 Great Northern Conference)

Marquette 3, Escanaba 1 (25-18, 25-11, 20-25, 25-13)

From Coach Crandell-Williams:

“We had a few more ups and downs tonight than we’ve had lately, but our players were able to stay on their mental game and power through. Serving and passing was strong as usual and that kept us alive. Maria Millado had her season high in kills and was the go-to offensive player tonight. Escanaba was a much stronger team tonight than the one we saw in Marquette, and gave us a run for our money.  Winning the GNC was one of our team goals for the season and I’m really, really proud of them for seeing it through.”
