Varsity Boys Soccer (5-4-1)

The MSHS varsity boys soccer team lost a tough game in Kingsford on Thursday evening by a final score of 4-2.

Kingsford opened the scoring to take an early lead but the Redmen quickly answered with a goal by Max Dawson.  The Flivers came back with another goal before halftime to take a 2-1 lead into the break.

Kingsford extended their lead to 3-1 in the second half before MSHS closed the gap to 3-2 when Trevor Salmon converted on a penalty kick.  The Flivers then closed out the scoring for a final score of 4-2.  Harrison Anthos tended net for the Redmen and faced 13 shots.

The varsity soccer team will have the weekend off from action before they travel to Escanaba to take on Bayside SC on Tuesday (9/17/19) for a 6:00 p.m. game.
