MSHS Varsity Boys Soccer (10-4)

Marquette 7, Sault Ste. Marie 0

The MSHS Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Sault Ste. Marie yesterday (10/4/23) for the final regular season meeting between the two teams in the 2023 season.  MSHS won the match-up by a final margin if 7-0.

First Half Scoring:

  • Kaleb Chipelewski from Seth Sandstrom (MSHS 1; SSM 0)
  • Miles Hill unassisted (MSHS 2; SSM 0)
  • Hunter Sandstrom from Ethan Sandstrom (MSHS 3; SSM 0)

Second Half Scoring:

  • Kaleb Chipelewski from Antonio Stabile (MSHS 4; SSM 0)
  • Canyon Medina unassisted (MSHS 5; SSM 0)
  • Andy Brunswick via penalty kick (MSHS 6; SSM 0)
  • Ethan Sandstrom from Kaleb Chipelewski (MSHS 7; SSM 0)

In Goal For MSHS:

  • Marquette goalkeeper Edan Hautamaki faced no shots in the first half net duties and one shot in the second half.  Andy Brunswick tended net late in the second half and faced one shot.

Next Up:

  • The MSHS Varsity Boys Soccer team will next host the U.P. Tournament on Saturday, 10/7/23, at the Kaufman Sports Complex.  Marquette will take on Iron Mountain at noon before playing either Kingsford or Sault Ste. Marie in a championship or consolation game at 2:00 p.m.
  • Prior to the championship/consolation games (at roughly 1:45 p.m.), 10 MSHS Boys Soccer seniors from the Class of 2024 will be honored, along with their parents/guardians.
