Varsity Boys Soccer Uses Strong First Half To Power Past Kingsford, 4-0

Varsity Boys Soccer (10-0)

Marquette 4, Kingsford 0

The MSHS Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Kingsford on Tuesday night to take on the host Flivvers in boys soccer.

Marquette jumped out to a three goal first half lead behind scores from Max Dawson, Isaac Johnson, and John Weber.   Assists went to Weber/Hayden Byma, Ezra Pickard, and Byma, respectively.

Dawson then added a second half goal, his 20th of the season, from Weber.

Harrison Anthos faced 12 shots in net, stopping them all, to preserve the 4-0 victory.

From MSHS Head Coach, Dan Salmon:

  • “We got challenged a lot on the defensive side of the ball but Harrison (Anthos) was a wall in net.  He really stepped up when we needed him.”
