From MSHS Girls Tennis Head Coach, Karl Thomsen:

  • “With this week’s rain cancelling our originally planned dual match on Wednesday and then yesterday’s Westwood Invite, it was nice to be able to salvage a dual meet.  It is always great playing Westwood because Coach Massie and Coach Jackson have built such a competitive program.  On the doubles side of things, our girls really played well.  Lyndsey Lake and Delana Sprowl got off to a hot start and kept up their chemistry for a 2-set victory.  At #2 doubles, Hosanna Brindle and Lexi Hammerstrom made some mid-match adjustments that led them to a quality victory.  Over on the singles side of things, both Kaia Miller (#1 singles) and Natalie Deneau (#2 singles) continued the nice start to the season with straight set victories.  With that being said, playing a solid team like Westwood allows us coaches to see what areas we need to improve on.”
