The MSHS Boys and Girls Alpine Skiing teams traveled to Big Powderhorn Mountain yesterday (Tuesday; 2/1/22) to compete in the Theron Peterson Ski Race hosted by Ironwood High School.

The day featured skiiers from Marquette, Houghton, Ironwood and Norway high schools and was comprised of two Giant Slalom (GS) races for each gender.

Boys Overall Team Results:

1. Marquette – 35 (GS Race 1 – 1st Place; GS Race 2 – 1st Place)
2. Houghton – 52 (GS Race 1 – 2nd Place; GS Race 2 – 2nd Place)
3. Ironwood – 108 (GS Race 1 – 3rd Place; GS Race 2 – 3rd Place)
4. Norway – NTS

Girls Overall Team Results:

1. Marquette – 47.5 (GS Race 1 – 1st Place; GS Race 2 – 1st Place)
2. Houghton – 49 (GS Race 1 – 2nd Place; GS Race 2 – 2nd Place)
3. Norway – 59.5 (GS Race 1 – 3rd Place; GS Race 2 – 3rd Place)
