Gymnastics Posts Nine Regional Qualifying Scores In Dual Meet Victory Over Superior 7

The MSHS Gymnastics team had its first competition of the 2021-22 season yesterday (December 8), when they hosted the Superior 7 co-op team for a dual meet inside the Barb Crill Gymnasium.  MSHS won the team competition and posted a team score of 113.40.

Below are performers finishing in the top five of each event (* notes an MHSAA Regional qualifying score).

Vault

  • 2.  Helana Sharp – 8.2*
  • 2.  Ady Trapani – 8.2*
  • 3.  Aly Trapani – 8.1*
  • 3.  Anabel Ollila – 8.1*

Uneven Bars

  • 1.  Helana Sharp – 7.8*
  • 5.  Haylee Vickers – 4.6*

Beam

  • 1.  Tally Rassmussen – 7.95*
  • 3.  Helana Sharp – 7.4*
  • 4.  Haylee Vickers – 6.8

Floor

  • 1.  Ava Porter – 8.5*
  • 4.  Anabel Ollila – 7.75

All-Around

  • 2.  Helana Sharp – 30.95
  • 4.  Haylee Vickers – 26.10

The MSHS Gymnastics team will be back in action this Saturday, December 11, when they travel to Escanaba to participate in the Escanaba Elks Invitational.  That meet has a start time of 10:00 a.m.
