Gymnastics Takes Second At Marquette Invitational

Competing in their first meet after dealing with multiple injuries in December, the MSHS gymnastics team turned in a series of solid performances on Saturday during the Marquette Invitational.

The Redettes finished in second place with a score of 115.30.  Escanaba won the meet with a score of 120.70.

Marquette gymnasts earned multiple top-ten finishes in each event.  Top performers are listed below.

Floor

  • 1st – Haddie Ketzenberger – 9.0
  • 5th – Grace Henning – 8.0
  • 9th – Haylee Vickers – 6.3

Beam

  • 1st – Haddie Ketzenberger – 9.6
  • 2nd – Grace Henning – 7.95
  • 3rd – Julia King – 7.75
  • 8th – Lizzy Burzynski – 6.75

Bars

  • 4th – Haddie Ketzenberger – 7.7
  • 7th – Lizzy Burzynski – 5.0
  • 9th – Grace Henning – 4.8

Vault

  • 3rd – Haddie Ketzenberger – 8.7
  • 5th – Lizzy Burzynski – 8.3
  • 7th – Julia King – 8.0

All-Around

The team will be back in home action on Wednesday, January 15, when they host Negaunee for a dual meet starting at 6:00 p.m.
