Mountain Biking Takes Team Title In WICL Season Opening Race At Telemark

This past weekend (September 2-3), the MSHS Mountain Biking Team traveled to Cable, Wisconsin to take part in the first race of the 2023 Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League (WICL) schedule that was hosted at Mt. Telemark Village.

MSHS student-athletes fared exceptionally well at the event and collectively placed first among the 29 schools competing in Division 1 of the WICL’s structure.

In the Varsity Boys race, senior Corbin Grim captured first place out of 58 total competitors.  Fellow senior Ian Kangas also helped lead MSHS with a 19th place finish.

MSHS was paced in the Varsity Girls race by junior Sam Paternoster, who posted a runner-up finish within the field.
