Varsity Boys Soccer Begins Season With 1-1 Draw At Iron Mountain

The Iron Mountain and Marquette boys varsity soccer teams opened their soccer seasons and played to a 1-1 tie Thursday night in Iron Mountain. After a scoreless first half, Iron Mountain scored one minute into the second half on a deflected shot that was initially saved by Marquette keeper Liam Jeevar.

Marquette sophomore Max Dawson then knotted the game at the 24 minute mark on a penalty shot.

From Head Coach Dan Salmon:

“We had a lot of chances to score throughout the game but missed out on those opportunities.  Iron Mountain gave us some things to work on and we will get to it.”
