Varsity Volleyball (16-10-2; 2-1 Great Northern Conference)
The MSHS Varsity Volleyball team finished as runner-up at the Marquette Invitational today (9/23/23) and recorded a 3-1-1 record during the tournament. After earning a 2-0-1 record through pool play, Marquette defeated Escanaba in the semifinals before falling to Kingsford in the event final.
Pool Play Results:
- Marquette 1, Ishpeming 1 (26-27, 25-13)
- Marquette 2, Superior Central 0 (25-17, 25-16)
- Marquette 2, Indian River-Inland Lakes 0 (27-25, 25-15)

During pool play, head coaches from each participating school were asked to nominate six student-athletes to be honored for their skill and hard work on the court. Below are the six student-athletes named to the 2023 Marquette Invitational All-Tournament Team:

Next Up:
- The MSHS Volleyball program will be back in action on Tuesday, 9/26/23, when they host the Gwinn JV/Varsity teams, along with the Bark River-Harris Freshman team. Start time for the JV and Freshman matches is 5:30 p.m., with the varsity match to follow at 7:00 p.m.
