MSHS Varsity Volleyball – 2019 NMU Invite Champions

Pool Play:

  • Marquette 2, Superior Central 0 (25-10, 25-17)
  • Marquette 2, Bark River 0 (25-9, 25-14)
  • Marquette 2, Rapid River 0 (25-19, 25-8)
  • Marquette 2, Munising 0 (25-9, 25-3)

Semifinals:

  • Marquette 2, Escanaba 0 (25-20, 25-9)

Finals:

  • Marquette 2, Manistique 0 (25-20, 27-25)

From Coach Crandell-Williams:

“The girls looked good in practice this week, so I had a great feeling coming into the weekend. They continue to improve all the time and their overall consistency today was really impressive. Manistique is a strong team and the final match was an exciting one, but the girls kept swinging and pulled through.”

Next Up:

All three MSHS volleyball teams will be back in action on Thursday, October 10, when they host Menominee in GNC play.  Match times are 5:30 p.m. for Frosh/JV and 7:00 p.m. for Varsity.
