Varsity Boys Soccer Extends Unbeaten Streak To 16 Games With 5-1 Victory At Sault Ste. Marie

The MSHS Varsity Boys Soccer Team traveled to Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday (10/5/22) for their final road contest of the 2022 season.  Marquette won the game by a final score of 5-1 to extend the team’s unbeaten streak to 16 games.

First half goal scorers were Max Dawson (assisted by Evan Sysko), Ezra Pickard (assisted by Jack Sysko), and Pickard (assisted by Isaac Johnson). MSHS took a 3-0 advantage into halftime.

Johnson scored a goal of his own that was assisted by Ethan Sandstrom and Pickard to start off scoring in the second half.  Sault Ste. Marie cut the deficit to 4-1 before Dawson scored his 35th goal of the season with a tally assisted by Mason Bocklund for a 5-1 margin that would hold for the final score.

Goalkeeper Edan Hautamaki faced just two shots during the game.
