Varsity Volleyball Splits At 2022 Redette Rumble; Mackie Named To All-Tournament Team

On Saturday (9/24/22), the MSHS Varsity Volleyball team hosted the Redette Rumble Tournament with 11 total teams participating.  The team went 2-2 on the day amidst tough competition and hard fought matches .

Pool Play Results:

  • Marquette 2, Superior Central 0 
  • Marquette 2, Ishpeming 0 
  • Marquette 0, Manistique 2 

Quarterfinals:

  • #1 Escanaba 2, #6 Westwood 0
  • #2 Manistique 2, #5 Brimley 0
  • #3 Kingsford 2, #4 Marquette 0

Semifinals:

  • #1 Escanaba – bye into finals
  • #2 Manistique 1, #3 Kingsford 2

Finals:

  • #1 Escanaba 2, #3 Kingsford 0

All-Tournament Team

During pool play, head coaches from each participating school were asked to nominate six student-athletes to be honored for their skill and hard work on the court.  Below are the six student-athletes named to the 2022 Redette Rumble All-Tournament Team:
