Varsity Volleyball (13-5-1; 1-0 Great Northern Conference)
The MSHS Varsity Volleyball team traveled downstate on Saturday, September 11, to compete in the competitive Mitten Bay Classic volleyball tournament hosted by Bay City Central High School. The team finished 3-1-1 on the day, that culminated with MSHS capturing the silver bracket championship.

- Marquette 2, Fremont 0 (25-16, 25-13)
From MSHS Head Coach, Ann Crandell-Williams:
- “We got off to a really slow start in our first two matches, then gained momentum throughout the day. We had some good quality competition and are continuing to be more consistent as a team. The day ended on a positive note and we hope to bring that momentum into Monday’s game against Calumet.”

- MSHS will next host Calumet on Monday, September 13, for a traditional format match-up. Start time for the JV and Freshman matches is 5:30 p.m., with the varsity match to follow at 7:00 p.m.
